Artist’s quote
20 Minutes and 28 Seconds of Sunset” is a single-shot 4K video of realtime sunset which is part of my 2020 Visual Diary project. This project was initiated in the wave of the Coronavirus outbreak in Montreal. The sudden halt to our regular routines and the cancellation of numerous projects created a unique opportunity for me to immerse myself in the beauty of nature. From March 18th, 2020 to March 17th, 2021, Through daily observations, I embarked on a year-long endeavour to document the daily changes in nature and share my photographs, videos and text on social media. My aim was to bring the wonders of the natural world to people who were largely confined indoors due to the pandemic. By providing a source of positivity and inspiration in the midst of an overwhelming and challenging time, I hoped to offer a respite from the barrage of COVID-19 news that was inundating social media channels.
