A sincere response seems ironic in this strange time. Isolation Journal reflects two activities that I am focusing on these days — documenting books by artists for a video channel and writing quotes on a street front window to interact with passers by.
In the past, many of my videos have related to books, either from book ideas or as adaptations. This project has brought me to think about why I make art. It is the first time I have made a book for a video. As I grow older, I feel that many things have already been said and done. But affirmation and reaffirmation are necessary from time to time, and so important during difficult times.
