THE HILL OF SECRETS (2022)

12-year-old Myung-eun is a girl with exceptional emotional sensitivity. However, she has a secret she keeps to herself. That secret is her family, as they are not the family she wants. Myung-eun’s teacher recognizes her talent in literature and suggests she enters in a writing contest. As she learns more and more about the world through writing, she realizes that certain thoughts and ways of life her family believes in is not right, and her conflict with them grows. Under the theme ‘Family’, Myung-eun decides to write the most honest, risky, and terrifying truth about her own family.

Myung-eun, 12 ans, est une jeune fille dotée d'une sensibilité émotionnelle exceptionnelle. Cependant, elle a un secret qu'elle garde pour elle. Ce secret, c'est sa famille, qui n'est pas celle qu'elle souhaite. Le professeur de Myung-eun reconnaît son talent pour la littérature et lui propose de participer à un concours d'écriture. Au fur et à mesure qu'elle apprend à mieux connaître le monde grâce à l'écriture, elle se rend compte que certaines pensées et certains modes de vie de sa famille ne sont pas corrects, et son conflit avec eux s'intensifie. Sous le thème « Famille », Myung-eun décide d'écrire la vérité la plus honnête, la plus risquée et la plus terrifiante sur sa propre famille.
