KIM-GUN – 김군 (2018)

KIM-GUN begins with a black-and-white photo of an armed young man taken in May 1980 in the city of Gwangju. 35 years later, the identity of the young man has become a source of controversy: some claim he is “Gwang-su,” one of the North Korean special agents whose mission was to instigate anti-government violence, while others remember him as “Kim-gun,” a ragpicker who lived under a bridge over theGwangjucheon Stream and who only went by his last name, KIM.

KIM-GUN commence par une photo en noir et blanc d'un jeune homme armé, prise en mai 1980 dans la ville de Gwangju. 35 ans plus tard, l'identité du jeune homme est devenue une source de controverse : certains affirment qu'il s'agit de "Gwang-su", l'un des agents spéciaux nord-coréens dont la mission était d'inciter à la violence anti-gouvernementale, tandis que d'autres se souviennent de lui comme de "Kim-gun", un chiffonnier qui vivait sous un pont au-dessus du cours d'eau Gwangjucheon et qui ne se faisait appeler que par son nom de famille, KIM.

영화 김군은 1980년 5월 광주시에서 촬영된 무장한 청년의 흑백사진으로 시작합니다. 35년이 지난 지금, 이 청년의 신원은 논란의 대상이 되었습니다. 어떤 이들은 그가 반정부 폭력을 선동하는 임무를 맡은 북한 특수 요원 중 한 명인 "광수"라고 주장하고, 다른 이들은 그를 광주천 다리 밑에서 살면서 ‘김’씨 성만 가진 "김군"으로 기억합니다.

남아있는 사진 증거를 바탕으로 “김군” 다큐멘터리는 실종된 청년을 찾기 위해 출발합니다.
